Hi, I'm Jonah Morgan

MS in Medical Physics at Vanderbilt

I use this website to showcase my projects and interests!

About Me (WP)

Hello! I'm Jonah Morgan, an Electrical Engineering student at Texas Christian University. I aim to become a Medical Physicist and apply my skills towards cancer therapies using radiation!

Projects here are related to my various interests, including physics, chemistry, linguistics, and tech.

Feel free to explore my projects below and get in touch if you'd like to collaborate!

My Projects

Gesture Recognition Wristband

  • 2021–2023
  • Independent project

A wristband that recognizes hand gestures by sensing how electricity flows through the wrist, then sorts them with machine learning. I built it end to end, from the circuit board to the model.

M11po

  • 2026
  • First author, J. Chem. Phys.

A new density functional, M11po, that makes a more accurate class of chemistry methods ("rung 3.5") easy to run in PySCF, a free, open-source chemistry package. Published in The Journal of Chemical Physics.

Carpal Tunnel Diagnostic Tool

  • 2024–present
  • TCU, with physicians

A spring-based device that gives doctors an objective, repeatable measurement for diagnosing carpal tunnel syndrome. Designed in CAD and refined with physicians.

Chemical Equilibrium Sim

  • TCU Chemistry

An interactive simulation that shows how a chemical reaction rebalances itself when you change the temperature, pressure or concentration. TCU professors use it to teach General Chemistry.

ArborDex

  • 2026
  • Personal project, Vanderbilt

A Pokédex-style field guide to the trees on Vanderbilt's campus. Find a tree, photograph it and log where it is to unlock its entry.
